Panama stands out in the region for its economic growth and commercial connectivity
Panama remains a port that announces good news and a privileged nation. An example of this is the realization of the fair Expocomer 2023, highly recognized in the region and in the world, expressed in representation of Minister Hector Alexander, the Deputy Minister of Economy in charge, Carlos González.
Were given at the inauguration of the pavilions of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), in Expocomer, Expo Logística Panama and Expo Turismo Internacional 2023, González’s statements along with the Deputy Minister of Finance, Jorge Luis Almengor and Directors of the institution.
For his part, Almengor indicated that Panama is one of the main countries in economic growth and important connector of the commercial and productive sector of the region.
He added that the participation of the MEF through the Administrative Unit of Reverted Assets (UABR), in this international event, is important to publicize the development of projects and the use and use of those assets of the State.
The Executive Secretary of the UABR, Fernando Paniagua, informed that the entity will present the offers of land of the areas reverted with logistic and industrial vocation, for the interest of foreign investors.
The occasion was also propitious for the Gaming Control Board (JCJ), will show the countries of the region, new initiatives in the different licenses of gambling and luck, where Panama also stands out as a pioneer of the region in this matter.
In this line, the director of the JCJ, Manuel Sánchez, said that the activity of gambling is a regulated activity that promotes the economy and this one among the ten that generate the most income to the Panamanian State. Likewise, at the international event, the MEF announced the work of the General Revenue Directorate (DGI), in charge of Publio De Gracia, a key section in the collection of the State, which promotes, encourages and makes competitive business management, and facilitates the productive activities of the country.
