Investment in reverted areas for more than B/. 12 millions
A tour of the facilities of what will be the new campus of the King's College School Panama, an investment that exceeds 12 million balboas, was made by the executive secretary of the Administrative Unit of Reverted Assets (UABR), Fernando Paniagua.
Within the framework of the celebration of the tenth anniversary of this educational center, Secretary Paniagua stressed that the private investment carried out within the reverted areas contributes to the country's economic reactivation process.
The Secretary added that the land where the new headquarters of the school is being built, located on Demetrio Lakas Avenue, in Clayton, is owned by the State under the administration of the institution under his charge, who granted a lease with investment for the project execution. The land consists of approximately six hectares, where 70% will be maintained as a green area within the school campus.
«We are pleased to facilitate such an important private investment within the reverted areas, which will undoubtedly result in having a first-world educational infrastructure, thus adding to the contribution of the reverted areas to the educational sector, being able to count on public universities such as UTP, UDELAS, UMIP, University of Panama and also with prestigious private schools» concluded Paniagua. In addition to Fernando Paniagua, Marta Gordon, Vice Chancellor of the Republic, José Pio Castillero, Vice Minister of Education, the British Ambassador in Panama, and administrative staff, teachers and parents of school family.
